Imagine inventing a device which harnesses the vibrations, pressure, heat and weather on a busy street. Pedestrian footfall and traffic producing clean energy for heat and light.

That is exactly what 17-year-old Jeremiah Thoronka did when he was at university. He has won $100,000 with his invention, Optim Energy, which he will use to help children study in challenging situations.
