Hello. My name is Aarfeen and I am six and a half years old.

My ambition is to be a ‘climate rapper’ and create awareness on a global stage.

The thing is…..I know the challenges we will be facing in 15 to 20 years and I want to resolve them NOW!

I was browsing on the internet and came across an article – ‘Microplastics in Blood’. The scientists analysed blood samples from 22 anonymous donors. They were healthy adults and yet they found plastic particles in 17 of the donors.

  • Half the samples contained PET, which is used in drink bottles.
  • One third contained polystyrene used for food packaging.
  • A quarter contained polythene, the material used to make plastic carrier bags.

I was SHOCKED and created this rap song…………’Plastic Positive’. You can listen to it here:

Plastic Positive…

Your blood could be plastic positive…

If you use too much single use plastic…

Your blood would be plastic positive…

Do you want to be B+, A-, O+ or plastic positive?

Don’t ask me…

Don’t ask me…

I am not a scientist…

I am not a doctor…

I am a climate activist…

I am a climate rapper…

So, don’t… don’t use single-use plastic…

Because it will create microplastics…

They will spoil our beloved planet and end up in your blood…

So, do you want to be plastic positive?

Or B+, A-, O+…

So this is the climate behaviour hack…

Don’t, don’t… don’t use single-use plastic!

So what is the solution?

  • Refuse single-use plastic.
  • Recycle unavoidable plastic responsibly.
  • Buy a reusable cup. Most takeaway coffee cups leach plastic.

  • AND be aware of where your waste goes because it definitely does NOT go away!
