…..do what you love. For you never know where it might take you.
Joe Whale is twelve years old and is known as the Doodle Boy. He used to be told off for doodling at school, but he has just drawn a mural for the English football team as a send-off to the World Cup.
And Joe has signed a deal with sports giant Nike. He has been hired as a “co-creator” for the brand, in a role where he will encourage children to be more creative.
“I have loved art since I was 4 years old. I started drawing in a doodle/cartoon style when I was about 6 and absolutely love it. When I doodle it makes me feel like the happiest person in the world.”
You can watch Joe draw a mural for the England Lionesses and a collaboration with Disney:
“I smile as I draw. I would encourage EVERYONE to embrace art and have a go at creating their own characters – it’s really fun!!! And there is one rule I always follow so I am completely free to express myself:
‘There is no right or wrong in Art, just interpretation.’
Happy doodling but please don’t copy Joe and draw on your bedroom wall! 🙂
